Recreationally, the Windermere lakes offer phenomenal outlets both for water skiing and fishing. All but Lake Little Fish are greater than 50 acres in surface area, providing more than ample space for ski boats and wave runners. Clear water, deep ledges, and abundant vegetation foster plentiful schools of largemouth bass and blue-gill for lucrative fishing year-round.

Public access is available through two boat ramps.

  1. Free entry is on Lake Down right off of Conroy-Windermere Rd. There you will find a single-lane paved ramp with neither a dock nor any parking.
  2. However, Lake Isleworth is accessible for $5/day or $150/year at the R.D. Keene ramp, on 10900 Chase Road. There is a paved double-lane ramp at the R.D. Keene Park, where you will also find a playground and multiple soccer fields.
